The Arizona Cardinals announced on Sunday that they have re-signed outside linebacker Baron Browning to a two-year contract, which according to multiple outlets is worth $15 million.
Per reports, the deal that could reach up to $19 million with incentives.
In November, the Cardinals traded a 2025 sixth-round pick to acquire Browning from the Denver Broncos. He appeared in eight games for Arizona, posting two sacks and 14 tackles while playing 48 percent of the team's defensive snaps.
For the 2024 campaign, his PFF pass rush grade of 76.3 ranked as the 23rd-highest among 211 qualifying edge rushers.
Browning was selected by the Broncos in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. He began his NFL career as an inside linebacker, where he had a solid rookie season, recording 58 combined tackles, two tackles for loss and two passes defended.
In 2022, he transitioned to edge rusher, racking up five sacks, eight tackles for loss and 18 quarterback pressures in 14 games.
In 2023, he had another solid season with 4.5 sacks and 10 pressures across 10 games.
