After the Charitable Foundation Rodyny Veseloho exhibited the legendary painting in the Lviv region, it will send it to Ukrainian diasporas around the world.
The Charitable Foundation Rodyny Veseloho (Veselyy Family) brought Boris Groh's painting "Russian warship, go f..." to Drohobych from Lviv. Andriy Veselyy, the head of the foundation, bought the famous picture at a charity auction that was organized as part of the 1000 Cars of Freedom project. The raised money was meant to buy two ambulances, well-needed vehicles on the front line.
When the painting arrived in Drohobych, Lviv region, it became part of a larger event, along with a rap concert by Khas and exhibiting a famous in Ukraine the Ukrposhta stamp "Russian warship, go f...". Both Groh's painting and the Ukrposhta stamp depict the flagship of the Russian Black Sea fleet, the cruiser "Moskva", which sank on April 14, 2022, after the Ukrainian army hit it with a missile.
Apart from that, the event in Drohobych included a fundraiser for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and an opportunity for local people to write a letter of support to Ukrainian defenders at the front line.
Once the event in Drohobych was over, all the letters of support together with the two vehicles were sent to the front line.
"We've also raised funds for maintaining the vehicles," added Andriy Veselyy, the head of the Charitable Foundation Rodyny Veseloho.
As for Groh's painting, it will also leave Drohobych and go further. The painting has become the symbol of Ukrainian resistance to the Russian aggressor. According to the foundation's plans, the picture will be sent on a charity tour along cities in Canada and Europe.
As Andriy Veselyy states, the painting will be delivered to Ukrainian diasporas and charitable foundations to help organize local exhibitions and fundraise for Ukraine.
The charitable organization "Charitable Foundation Rodyny Veseloho" was created by Andriy Veselyy in 2013. Among other purposes, the foundation means to help servicemen and families of fallen defenders. After the full-scale invasion of Russia to Ukraine in 2022, the Foundation turned Drohobych into a logistics hub to take care of humanitarian aid for displaced persons, material aid for military units, and deliver protective equipment and transport to the war zones.
